Unusual
I often make up stories in my head to explain this unusual looking thing, which I pass by every morning on my way to work.
Very unusual. Not sure what to make of the sculpture either. I really like the reflection of the building in the glass above and the lighting and reflection on the sculpture. Great use of light.
which building, where - want to go and look. You take the most amazing photos all so creative. really look forward to what we are going to see in the next week!
Bit of research, this is a Picasso sculpture of a mythic bull. This was taken in front of the Solow building at the 58th Street entrance, facing the Plaza Hotel which is reflected in the building's sloping facade.

ReplyDeleteGreat photo and I wonder what it is supposed to represent? Kind of looks like a rhino with it's hands in the air wearing a hat!
ReplyDeletePicasso ?? Reminds me of Spain, most unsual combination. You always have the best eye!
ReplyDeleteThis is very unusual!!!!! I would not be surprised to find out that whoever had it put there paid dearly for it. The question is WHY.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear one of the stories you made up:)
ReplyDeleteI think his name is Archibald.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I love about art. There is no right or wrong. I does look like a rhino - sitting on a viking hat. Unusual for sure.
