This is a photo challenge to take a picture a week, for 52 weeks. We have multiple contributors posting from around the world on the same theme by Sunday night. The weekly themes are listed at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

Shadows
If I stood just slightly to the left or right, the writing was not legible. I wanted to be a little more to the right to see the word 'cemetery' projected perfectly on the grass but there was no where to go.

Loadsa shadows and even hubby Martin wanted to get in on the act. Thought with very little sun around that shadows would be a real headache but turned out to be such fun. Enjoy the card!!

With Wings
Props to you if you can see the wings.
A little back story here: It was -2 degrees out and my phone was giving up on me because it's core temperature was too low (my fingers followed shortly thereafter). I captured this JUST before the phone shut down and, although initially sad at being unable to take the perfect photo, I stayed there for another 20 minutes watching plane after plane safely completing it's journey into Reagan airport.
It's easy to take a photo and then move on, but when the batteries fail and all you're left with is the naked eye, you often see an image far better than what any camera will take for you.
Next time you're taking a photo, pause for a minute and capture the moment with your own eyes too!

with wings...
My friend gave me this angel 7 years ago. She resides on my kitchen shelf.
Can't say that I ever really looked at the wings before, little pieces of bent wire never looked so beautiful!

Chagall's The Triumph of Music mural at the Metropolitan Opera on Friday evening, during intermission of Juan Diego Florez and Pretty Yende stunning performances in Le Comte Ory.
With Wings
Living in the city, I found this week's theme a little challenging. I kept going on my roof looking for a bird, plane, or anything with wings to photograph. Then this morning, while walking to Prospect Park, I came across this statue at the park entrance and just loved it.

The Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park, London, in memory of the 55,573 men of the RAF's Bomber Command that died in The Second World War

With Wings Megan&James
This is our first post and we are very excited to be part of Project 52! Thank you, Kim! James' original idea was to put butterfly wings on Jessie (our mini golden doodle dog), but we could not find the wings...typical. We then decided on Pegasus...Luke loved unicorns, horses and winged horses. The boys' first pets were hermit crabs. James' was named Baseball and Luke's was named Pegasus. Magical, just like Luke...
With Wings
The Centerport heron. This is at the bottom of the hill where we live. The lake was totally frozen over this morning and so was the long island sound. It is cold cold cold.
With Wings
I took this photo earlier in the week on my iPhone at CLT airport. It was my 'back up' photo. Unfortunately I never got around to taking the photo I wanted to take...
I did use one of my favorite photo editing apps... 'Snapseed' is amazing for editing and filtering all of your iPhone photos! I love the vintage filters!

With wings
Participating in this photo blog certainly has me doing things I would not normally do. I have never been this close to a chicken and did not realize how unattractive they really are.

With Wings
If you don't have any idea why the people here have wings, you are lucky. If you know exactly what I am talking about, you are lucky to have been touched by them.

With wings..
I was on my way to the market and saw this group of birds chatting on the wire. I wonder what they were saying??
With wings
Went to the San Diego Zoo this past weekend and spent some time with the flamingos. This one was trying to nap and didn't look too happy to be disturbed. Oh well, I eventually moved on. There were many more critters to see.

With Wings
A real experiment this! My young cousin with his waterwings, and a sea plane taking off with its wings!
With Wings
Spent a beautiful morning at our local lake in search of things with wings - chose this one just because it makes me smile! I think it looks like someone stapled angel wings on his back for the church Christmas play. (But I assure you, no goose was harmed in the making of this photograph.)
(My other winged photos that didn't make the Project 52 cut are on my own blog if you are interested HERE)

A View from Above
This is a view from our rooftop in Brooklyn, NY. We have a view of Manhattan in one direction, but I really love coming up here and looking the other direction at the other rooftops on our street. In the summertime, people are usually sitting on their rooftops, enjoying the sunshine, but today it was freezing out, so I was the only one outside. Still, I found it so relaxing being outside in the fresh air and away from the busy streets down below.

I was totally inspired by everyone's pictures this week (except for my own). I took masses of pictures and didn't like a single one. Oh well. But today I went ice skating with Charlotte and I like this picture because it will remind me of the fun time we had.

...Somewhere between New York and North Carolina! I'm spending the weekend with close friends who are more like family to me, celebrating the first birthday of one sweet little lady! (And this is my very first post from my iPhone)

Good morning sunshine making its way across Central Park earlier today, viewed from my office window.

View from above
This is a view over Ashdown Forest, near where we live. The grey stone building in the middle is Ashdown House where Gemma went to school.
View from Above
This is a picture of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains from over 10,000 feet.
It was taken on my way to attend a gravesite funeral of my dear cousin who passed away far too young!
If I may take a moment to reflect; there are times when we all feel small and insignificant and feel we don't really matter, but as I was flying over this enormous sea of mountains and clouds, I realized that each one of us IS significant in that we touch other lives and contribute love and friendship to others. I will greatly miss my wonderful cousin who gave this world laughter, insight, and love. And from his view from above, he would be saying " What a wonderful world".

From above the water, that is, in an Outrigger Canoe. I got
hooked on paddling while in Hawaii and am continuing my obsession with
the sport in California. The water here in San Diego is much colder
though!

Thank-you to my very patient client for sitting quietly while I shot my "view from above"!
This is what life looks like from the barber's side of things!

View from above
Frost is HIGHLY unusual in San Diego, (yes, we are winter sissies) so I just had to grab my camera and macro lens this morning when I saw the frost on our lawn.
This view from above is actually two photos of the same blade of grass - one with frost and then another captured a few minutes later after the sun's rays had warmed it.
