Crazy Angle

Grand Central Station, entrance to the Farmers market passage and its "shooting stars" chandelier.

Crazy Angle

A crazy angle taken of my standard poodle.  I'm on the floor looking up at her, and she's on the couch with her funny poodle paw hanging over the side.  (She refused to look at me; I'm guessing I embarrassed her as I was sprawled all over the floor in a non-dignified sort of fashion..!)

Crazy Angle

Underneath glasses on a glass shelf.

Crazy angle

My boys found watching TV at this crazy angle to be quite comfy. Weirdos.

Crazy Angle

I watched this plane fly right over me from Balboa Park. Thought it would work for  a crazy angle!

Crazy Angle

My crazy angle is looking up from the underside of a daisy....

Spring

Go geez, I almost forgot to post today! This is a photo from New York's High Line park. When spring hits the city, it really comes alive.

Spring

With Spring comes, longer warmer days and more sunshine. I'm currently on a Spring break with 2 of my brothers in Miami. This is my first iPhone submission

Spring

Spring Love (the sign says "will you marry me?).

Spring

This is how I REALLY know spring has arrived.   For 10 years my neighbour comes out (like a ground hog) and checks to see if his tulips are showing.  He then makes a comment about how he hopes that Mother Nature lets them survive the frost....and then goes back in to his home. LOL.  It is kind of cute.

Spring

Nothing like Spring to fuel America's pastime.

Spring

Spring rolls at my favorite Vietnamese fast food in Nice, where it is pouring rain and the quickest way to get a bite to dine on!

Spring

Slinky, slinky, what a wonderful toy...

Spring

Spring almost seems an irrelevant concept here in Miami where I've been all week, but these corporate challenge 5k runners sure seemed to have a spring in their step.

Spring

Little caterpillars building a special place so they can turn into butterflies. Goodbye ugly winter.

Spring

I decided to try to overcome my dislike of goats (for Kim) and went to a local farm. It is hard to see but there are two kids hiding under there. They never quit moving and the Mother only let them stay for about 20 seconds. Getting a picture was not easy.  They really are kind of cute.

Spring

Loving Brooklyn and this field of tulips I discovered on my walk around the neighborhood today. Spring is finally here (I hope)!

Spring

This time of year there are tractors everywhere around where we live. This one acts as a prop but many times they are driving right past my window.

Spring

At last, spring has arrived in Queens!!

Spring

Spring is when my lime tree blooms and baby limes start to grow.

Spring

Time for a little Spring shopping at the Carlsbad outlets which happen to be directly below the incredible Flower Fields! Just 3 miles up the road from my home, this view gives me every reason to make a much needed shopping excursion(s) each spring! I've never gotten the close up view so Wendy's post was a total treat for me.

Spring

Spring/springs from Clocks - my local jeweller thought this was a great request and happily produced these for my 'shoot'

Spring

This is indeed a small spring, taken in the spring!

Spring

It's a Spring chicken!  Did some planting this week and put pretty petunias in my chicken planter.

Not crocuses or swallows, but the sound of a bat on a ball."

Spring

Little Known Kim Fact:  I love goats! There were goats, a lamb and a couple calves. This one was really tiny and incredibly friendly; kept nibbling on my camera strap.  Made my morning.

Spring

The flower fields in Carlsbad, California are always wonderful in the spring.  I decided it might be fun to show off the ranunculas in full bloom. ( I wish I could see how the picture turned out that was being taken by the mom in the bottom corner!
)

Spring

...is here. Sort of.

Up Close

Very soon I'll be leaving the U.K for a year. Already feeling nostalgic about the things that I'm used to seeing (whether the have value to me or not) but won't see for a while. It's the little, seemingly insignificant things like the coins in this photograph that are hitting it home. Strange feeling.

Up Close

The two cutest paws.

Up close

James was taking all sorts of photos with my sister's camera last night.  He chose this one of my peace bracelet for "up close".

Up Close

"Boston Strong"

I live in Chicago but I'm a New Englander by birth, and a proud one at that. My words mean so little, but the help, love, support and prayers we offer those affected by the tragedy are all that matter right now.

Thanks for the inspiration, Melissa.

UP CLOSE

My favourite up close cat!!

Up Close

My piece of art.  I have made cupcakes now a total of two times in approx. 10 years!!  i thought i should appreciate it.  LOL.

Up close

We get to enjoy the blooms of our magnolia tree for one week out of the year before the petals fall off and it becomes lush and green. A true sign that spring is here... Finally!

Up Close

Playing with my camera again this weekend and enjoying a nice (almost feels like Spring) weekend at my dad's house in Connecticut.

Up close

My little one... enjoying a treat :)

We get eggs from our Uncle, fresh from his farm. All the eggs are pretty small in various shades of beige. Not this one... stood out like a sore thumb, and it was good too!

Up Close

Always amazes the senses when nature yawns and stretches herself after a restful nap, year after year.

Close up

This dog is a labradoodle.

Up Close

Found this at a church. It was attached to a concrete slab in the ground, in a garden the church had transformed. There were two and they led to nothing.

Up Close

An up close look at the Boston hat Ill be sporting tomorrow when I go for my weekend run with a few friends (and a bunch of strangers) who are all trading in their typical New York Team sporting gear and wearing something to support the great city of Boston!
