The chalkboard is in an actual vice. It's a heavy duty clamp. You spin the bar with the masking tape handle which pinches closed. The vice weighs about 50 lbs and mike has had it for years and years. It's attached to a work bench. I made 2 rustic looking chalkboards. Fun to mess around with wood.
