Two Point Perspective
I had such fun with this theme. Having no idea what photo to take, I decided to wander around my neighborhood yesterday during the one day of sunny weather we've had in a while, looking for inspiration. I even started to experiment with different functions on my camera for the first time after having been given a lesson by another fellow blogger a few weeks ago. This one was taken using a "fish-eye effect."

Very clever effect!!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, the fish eye effect just takes this beautiful photo one step further. I love how sharp the focus is on the corner and the people crossing the street and the light all wavy. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteits going to feel like a 'I want for christmas' project!! Wonder if I have that function and don't know about it! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't know you could do that on a camera! I thought it was only done through photo programs, very cool effect and a great addition to our two point perspectives!
ReplyDeleteLove the effect of fish eye AND two point perspective - just stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo good Carrie. Love the shadows on the one side which emphasise the twho point perspective. Please - I too would love to know how you took this photo. I thought you could only get this effect with a fish eye lens.
ReplyDeleteI think you did your teacher proud! Love this shot.
ReplyDeleteI wondered who it was??!!
ReplyDeleteVerushka - there is a function on my phone that I had no idea existed, but Gemma pointed it out to me during my camera lesson that takes photos using "fish-eye effect." I wish I could say it was my amazing photography skills, but it's really just a feature on my camera that can do this.
ReplyDeleteThank you and Gemma for the explanation. What an intriguing phone. Whatever else does it do? Or maybe I should not ask as I will "ditch" my camera for a phone!
Deletewhoops - should have read your responses more thoroughly and seen you are indeed talking about a camera and not a phone.
DeleteSorry - I mean a function on my camera (not phone)!
ReplyDeleteLadies and girls, you are just too hilarious!! I think we should have a photo of all the bloggers together shot with a fish -eye lens:))))
ReplyDeleteYou must have had a GREAT teacher :) I LOVE this photo. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteAnd Sorry to Jossiemou and Verushka - pretty sure that you don't have this function on your camera. Carrie has a very nice point and shoot that comes with more options than I have ever seen.
Such a great shot! I love the fish eye effect!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this photo!! It brings "people watching" to a new level from a 'fish eye" view!
ReplyDeleteI need to learn how to do this! Very clever.
