Holes




Knew exactly what I wanted to photograph for this challenge...this is a row of Cliff Swallow nests under a nearby bridge, about 20 feet off the ground.  

The birds build those nests by picking up mouthfuls of mud from the river bank and then stacking the bits together (like building a brick wall.)  If you look closely, you can see one home in the process of being built.    Aren't they amazing?
There are four already completed homes with babies peeking out of the holes.
