Weather

This is the result (very cleaned up) of a very tall tree being uprooted during Superstorm Sandy, 2012.  The oak tree was in our neighbor's side yard and thankfully fell diagonally, clipping our roof.  Even though we needed a new roof, everyone was safe.  The 50 foot tree landed so close to our house that we were unable to open our front door and the full length of the house was literally hidden by it.  Our neighbor's shrubs were also uprooted, thus the gap in the hedges.  The miracle of it is that if the tree had fallen any other way, even by an inch, we would not have been so lucky with no one being hurt.
