This was the view out my window at work earlier this week when it was really foggy.
This is a photo challenge to take a picture a week, for 52 weeks. We have multiple contributors posting from around the world on the same theme by Sunday night. The weekly themes are listed at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

View from Above
I was totally inspired by everyone's pictures this week (except for my own). I took masses of pictures and didn't like a single one. Oh well. But today I went ice skating with Charlotte and I like this picture because it will remind me of the fun time we had.

...Somewhere between New York and North Carolina! I'm spending the weekend with close friends who are more like family to me, celebrating the first birthday of one sweet little lady! (And this is my very first post from my iPhone)

View from above
This is a view over Ashdown Forest, near where we live. The grey stone building in the middle is Ashdown House where Gemma went to school.
View from Above
This is a picture of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains from over 10,000 feet.
It was taken on my way to attend a gravesite funeral of my dear cousin who passed away far too young!
If I may take a moment to reflect; there are times when we all feel small and insignificant and feel we don't really matter, but as I was flying over this enormous sea of mountains and clouds, I realized that each one of us IS significant in that we touch other lives and contribute love and friendship to others. I will greatly miss my wonderful cousin who gave this world laughter, insight, and love. And from his view from above, he would be saying " What a wonderful world".

From above the water, that is, in an Outrigger Canoe. I got
hooked on paddling while in Hawaii and am continuing my obsession with
the sport in California. The water here in San Diego is much colder
though!

Thank-you to my very patient client for sitting quietly while I shot my "view from above"!
This is what life looks like from the barber's side of things!

View from above
Frost is HIGHLY unusual in San Diego, (yes, we are winter sissies) so I just had to grab my camera and macro lens this morning when I saw the frost on our lawn.
This view from above is actually two photos of the same blade of grass - one with frost and then another captured a few minutes later after the sun's rays had warmed it.
